Short Description

Lead of Bid Management & Commercial Excellence​ is supporting both, the Solution Sales teams by managing the end-to-end bid process as well as on-going development of country commercial strategy, planning and ensuring local commercial effectiveness.

You will also be responsible for the country Commercial Operating System, that enables transparent, data-driven, and proactive interactions across different functions and roles, driving a robust commercial performance culture.

Lead of Bid Management & Commercial Excellence is reporting directly to Country Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). 

Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Efficient allocation of bid management resources to projects
  • Managing activities, processes and deadlines as part of a bid process
  • Developing a pricing strategy, including commercial models, which ensures accurate pricing calculations and competitive prices for bids and tenders
  • Responsibility for state-of-the-art proposal material regarding services and segments
  • Developing compelling bid and pitch materials to support Solution Sales in winning bid opportunity
  • Supporting the CCO with market analyses, competitor analyses, sales analyses and pipeline analyses to craft and maintain country commercial direction, strategy and tactics
  • Leading cross-functional commercial strategic projects to improve commercial performance (e.g. commercial effectiveness, sales investment proposals, pipeline prioritization, new customer engagement models etc.)
  • Supporting capability assessments and learning & developing initiatives
    from Group Commercial Excellence
  • Driving local sales performance and effectiveness being local commercial process owner of CRM@ISS and ensuring high quality pipeline data and insights
  • Taking active part in global commercial excellence community
  • Supporting effectiveness of other commercial roles
  • Driving continuous adoption, usage and training on CRM platform to drive insight and enable enhanced sales performance
  • Leading relevant commercial initiatives in the local organization
  • Managing, coaching and developing the team to drive a strong performance culture
  • Responsibility for the team delivering detailed solutions to customers ensuring involvement of right stakeholders

Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • Business acumen and strong commercial insight
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage stakeholders at different levels, locally as well as globally, internal and external
  • 3+ years of people management (project teams) experience within Bid Management & Solutions
    or similar function within a sales / commercial function/ project management
  • Experience in working within matrix organizations, with high cross functional collaboration abilities
  • Effective problem-solving skill-set and strategic and analytical mind-set
  • Preferably experience within Facility Management,
    other complex solution selling industry or consulting
  • Proven and solid project management experience,
    and preferably project management qualifications e.g. Prince 2
  • Proven track record of driving improvement projects and initiatives
  • Able to provide recommendations to CCO and other key stakeholders,
    based on data-driven and fact-based analyses
  • Project management capabilities, able to orchestrate the timely delivery of outcomes
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably MS Dynamics
  • Relevant Master Degree
